History of the hotel

The design of the hotel was inspired by Ferenc Molnár’s youth novel The Paul Street Boys, which is indicated by the choice of name. The author spent his childhood in a building opposite the hotel. The emblematic
locations of his work served as a brilliant inspiration during the design of the hotel, the idea of the Lobby was given by the botanical garden, the interior design features were given by the theme of marbles.

 

The Paul Street Boys is one of the most read and popular novels in Hungary, compulsory reading in the fifth grade of primary school. It is the
best-known Hungarian novel abroad, translated into numerous languages, is a compulsory or recommended school reading in many countries.

Marbles Residence is located in the center of Budapest, next to the Corvin Quarter. The capital’s sights, outstanding restaurants, popular entertainment venues and ruin pubs are just a few minutes’ walk away. József Boulevard has excellent public transport facilities, which allows Guests to quickly and easily reach the sights of Budapest by tram 4, 6, metro line M2 or trolleybus.
